Five hikers were rescued near Sentinel Peak in the Drakensberg, on Thursday.
They were trapped by heavy snow.
They were found by Search and Rescue South Africa (SARZA) using all-terrain vehicles and ground teams.
Teams from SARZA’s Gauteng and Free State branches, and paramedics, evacuated the hikers to safety.
