AgriParks in Gauteng are under review.
The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) is hosting the first workshop on Thursday, the 12th March 2026.
The GDARD said in a notice to media, such Parks are an intervention to advance rural development, and advance agricultural value chains, while strengthening farmer support systems.
There are AgriParks in Pretoria, Soshanguve, Mamelodi, Westonaria, Eikenhof and Merafong.
The one on the West Rand for example, provides technical assistance and support to farmers in Klerksdorp, Randfontein, Krugersdorp, Lenasia and Eldorado Park.
In addition, farmers receive an agri production outlet, processing, logistics and marketing support.
The workshop to be held in Midrand, seeks to reflect on experiences in the last decade, discuss future plans, as well as recommend an improved implementation model, to guide the AgriParks Programme.
