Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, received the National Press Club’s Newsmaker of the Year for 2025.
The award is supported by the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Mkhwanazi is expected to deliver an acceptance speech, on Friday evening, at the CSIR International Convention, in Pretoria.
He blew the lid on corruption in the security cluster at a tell-all press conference, which later led to an ongoing commission of enquiry, led by Judge Madlanga.
Professor Puleng LenkaBula, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of UNISA, will give a keynote address at the event.
