A tornado killed an estimated 20 people in the United States of America over the weekend. It is expected to move to Ohio and Tennessee Valley.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh evacuated nearly 800,000 people from vulnerable areas on Sunday as the country and parts of India were preparing for a severe cyclone.
The storm with wind speeds of up to 120 kilometers an hour, was expected to hit Bangladesh and India’s West Bengal coasts around midnight on Sunday.
Brazil
Floods in Southern Brazil killed about 75,000 people in just one week. Another 80,000 people were forced to evacuate.
Mexico
According to climate scientists at Mexico’s largest university, UNAM (the National Autonomous University of Mexico), Mexico is set to experience the highest temperatures ever recorded in its history over the next 10-15 days.
Temperatures are expected to reach record levels of 45 degrees in Chiapas and Tabasco, Tlaxcala, Pachuca, and Cuernavaca.
Authorities are setting up hydration stations, to relieve both humans and wildlife.
