Donations of light foods and drinks continue to pour in for firefighters just outside Hermanus.
With the fire largely contained, the Overstrand Municipality said firefighting crews have tirelessly been fighting the fire, which turned towards above Chanteclair and Kidbrooke, and burning in Karwyderskraal.
Last night, there was a plume of smoke over Fisherhaven and Karwyderskraal which made visibility challenging on the R43.
Dean O’Neill, Overstrand Municipal Manager, said in a statement, “we thank the community for all donations received. The items are being distributed to the various divisions via Hermanus Fire Station.”
