Last Tuesday, we received not one Pangolin needing help, but TWO.
Meet Lotti, a beautiful 9kg female Temminck’s Ground Pangolin who was horrifically poached from the wild.
Two suspects were arrested during the confiscation, and Lotti had already been held captive for at least four days. Four days without food or water. Four days trapped, frightened and desperately trying to escape.
Thankfully, Lotti was rescued before it was too late. ❤️
She spent a night in ICU before being transferred into our care. She was dehydrated and had lost weight, but thankfully, she had no serious wounds or injuries.
Now, Lotti’s journey to freedom begins.
She will remain with us until she is strong, healthy and ready to return to the wild. When that day comes, she will be released back where she belongs and carefully monitored to ensure she is adapting and thriving.
