Humanitarian organisations- Gift of the Givers and the Al-Imdaad Foundation, have begun donating water to the town of Knysna.
A combined 44 Jojo tanks of water and 8,000-litres of water, were dropped off in Knysna, over the weekend.
The Gift of the Givers has been on the ground in Knysna since 12 December, providing critical water relief to the communities of Knysna, Brenton and Sedgefield.
They donated 4 x 2 500ℓ tanks to the Provincial Hospital for use by clinics, 2 x 10 000ℓ tanks placed at Correctional Services, and another additional 1 x 10 000ℓ tank, is expected to arrive on Monday.
This is also the second donation from the Al-Imdaad Foundation, since December.
The Akkerkloof dam, which supplies the town of Knysna, is 15% full.
