Jenique Botha, a 22-year old student law student, from Ekurhuleni, is the new Miss Earth South Africa 2025.
She was crowned at the Thaba Eco Hotel, part of the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, South of Johannesburg, on Wednesday.
Botha is currently studying LLB and is also a BCom Law graduate, from the University of the North West.
“I am honoured to carry this prestigious title and look forward to championing the organisation’s sustainability and climate programmes, as we continue to charter a new chapter together” said Botha.
The 1st Runner Up is Brilliant Dzavana from Tzaneen, Limpopo, the 2nd Runner Up, is Tshiamo Morare from Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
Mpho Moleya from Midrand was announced as the 3rd Runner Up.
Speaking at the glitzy event, Ella Bella Leite: Educational Director, said “this title does not come without responsibility and these young ladies are committed to serving people and the planet. It is an opportunity for these young women to become active participants in protecting and preserving our planet. We need passionate people to take on this fight for our planet and for our home.”

Catherine Constantinides, Executive Director of the programme, shared her thoughts on the significance of the moment, “this programme proves that sustainability and women’s empowerment are two sides of the same coin. When young women lead environmental change, communities shift, and narratives evolve. Empowered women are not only change makers, they are earth-shakers.”
