Water tariffs are set to increase by 12.5%, come the 01st of July this year, in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg Water (JW) said it approved the 2026/27 tariffs and rates.
Tariffs for sanitation services will also increase by 11% and about 8% for business customers.
Thokozani Shabalala, Senior Manager of Finance, at JW, presented the approved water and sanitation tariff adjustments, outlining the factors behind them and their role in sustaining reliable service delivery.
