Johannesburg Water (JW) is expected to start tying into the pipeline in Harmony Street, in Coronationville, in a bid to fast track supply of water to residents in the area.
The tie into Rand Water’s pipeline, emerged from a study conducted by the local water utility.
The hydraulic modelling study found that tapping into the pipe in Harmony Street, which supplies the Crosby Reservoir, could redirect water to Hursthill 1 High.
The water utility has rolled up sleeves, to start excavation work, on Monday, the 22nd September 2025.
Community members are urged to stay clear of the area.
