Severe rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga, Limpopo Valley and eastern parts of Limpopo into Wednesday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said this is due to a low pressure system, currently located south of Mozambique.
Lehlohonolo Thobela of the SAWS, said although an orange (level 5) warning was issued for Saturday and Sunday, it could be escalated, as from Monday.
The system might also affect parts of KZN on Tuesday.
