Motorists are advised to avoid Kragga Kamma Road, in Gqeberha, on Thursday morning.
This is due to an ongoing protest, between Plot 257 and 270.
Residents of the Grogro Informal Settlement took to the streets, protesting for housing and basic services, such as electricity and water.
Babalwa Lobishe, Mayor of the Nelson Mandela Metro, visited the community on Tuesday, alongside Thembinkosi Mafana, MMC for Human Settlements, and Ziyanda Mnqokoyi, MMC for Electricity and Energy.
The Municipality said it is aware of the protest and that relevant municipal departments, law enforcement agencies, are on site.
