A burst pipe at corner Katherine Street and Pretoria Avenue has left most surburbs in the North of Johannesburg, without water.
Johannesburg Water (JW) said it is repairing the pipe, which is about 600mm long.
No time of restoration was provided, but affected areas are those supplied by the Illovo Reservoir and Illovo Water Tower, including Sandhurst, Illovo, Sandton, Sandown, Strathavon, Rivonia, Morningside, Parkmore, Kramerville, Hyde Park, Barlow Park, Dunkeld West, Inanda, Wierda Valley, Chislehurston, Willowild, Atholl hurst, Atholl, Elton Hill, Riepen Park, Clynton, Glenadrienne, Wendywood, Eastgate, Morningside hills, Hurlpark, Dennehof, Duxberry, Hurlingham, Bordeaux, Benmore Gardens, Dalecross, Wynberg, Simba, Craighall, Sunset Acres, Littlefillan, Marlboro and Glen Atholl.
