Two foreign nationals were arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen copper cable on Tuesday.
Police on the West Rand, said they received information about two vehicles allegedly transporting copper cable from the North West Province towards Krugersdorp.
The two vehicles were spotted and stopped on the R24 towards Krugersdorp.
Upon searching the vehicles, police discovered a large quantity of copper cables loaded at the back of the bakkies.
They recovered property estimated to at eight hundred thousand rands (R800,000).
The police said they worked closely with West Rand Crime Intelligence in collaboration with the West Rand Flying Squad, West Rand District Crime Prevention Unit and private security companies.
