Power challenges at Rand Water’s Eikenhof pump station, have led to interrupted supply of water, affecting the Commando and Crown Gardens Reservoirs.
Johannesburg Water (JW) said on Sunday morning, affected areas are reservoirs supplying Brixton and Crosby.
This includes Brixton and surrounding areas, as well as some suburbs in the South of the city, including Crown Gardens, Robertsham, Winchester Hills, and Ridgeway.
As a result, throttling would be implemented, to accelerate the recovery of the systems.
JW also said it would avail water to affected areas.
