Hundreds of civil servants were prayed for in a special service at the Rhema Church, in Randburg, on Sunday.
This is part of the church’s legacy project, a year after the passing of its founder, Pastor Ray McCauley.
Speaking at the service, Joshua McCauley, Senior Pastor, said about 2,850 people have publicly professed their faith in Jesus for the first time, at both Rhema and the Greenstone Churches, in the past year.
About 829 people were water baptised, 377 babies dedicated, 2,100 have declared Rhema as their home church.
Over 200,000 children from underprivileged communities were fed in the City.
Another 1,096 prisoners received Christ as their Lord and saviour for the first time.
Through the refurbishment project, to upgrade services at the Randburg campus, the children’s church, the roof and the rack were completed.
The building in Greenstone was bought and is being transferred to the church.
