South African Firefighters returned on Monday from a Canadian Wildfire Mission.
The 216 firefighters and management personnel from Working on Fire returned home safely after battling some of Canada’s most severe wildland fires in Alberta Province.
This marks the sixth deployment of South African firefighters to Canada since 2015, with the 2023 deployment being one of the largest deployment ever.
