Airlink submitted three applications for flypasts related to rugby matches.
The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) confirmed on Wednesday.
The applications were in line with regulations governing the non-passenger and or cargo-carrying flights.
Ayanda Malunga, Senior Communications and Stakeholder Manager at the SACAA, said the organisation is looking into Saturday’s flypast, between the Springboks and All blacks.
Malunga also said the operator also submitted an application for the second flypast, with supportive documentation.
But following media controversy over the weekend, SACAA initiated compliance verifications, engaged the operator and obtained more information to analyse the situation.
A third flypast was cancelled for this coming Saturday’s match.
