The George Municipality has requested visitors to the Outeniqua Mountains to exercise caution, as Powervan has begun actively using the railway track, a few times a day.
Outeniqua Power Van CC or also known as Powervan, acquired old service trolleys and vehicles from Transnet to provide a unique eco experience, which has become a very popular tourist attraction in the Southern Cape, Garden Route.
The Municipality said hikers, cyclists and visitors should stay off the train tracks.
This is because Powervan cannot stop quickly, to allow those walking on or near the railway tracks to make way.
Visitors are also encouraged to supervise minors and pets close to the activity hub.
