The South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) said it is not among organisations protesting against Panyaza Lesufi, Premier of Gauteng.

This follows a poster circulating social media platforms, named several organisers of the protests, to include SANCO’s Abraham Mashishi.

Mashishi is apparently shocked and surprised that he was mentioned without consent.

Mashishi said SANCO would liaise through ANC structures regarding unhappiness about a recent cabinet shuffle and “the marginalisation of alliance partners.”

Previous political protests were against Amapanyaza, the DA’s initiated against the Tembisa hospital tender scandal, Umkhonto weSizwe party against the Gauteng State of Province Address (SOPA), the Gauteng youth brigades concerned about unemployment and AfriForum opposing Afrikaans schools.
