Senior citizens have free entry at the Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) during the month of October.

Senior citizens are urged to bring their identity documents to enter.

Thanduxolo Mendrew, Managing Director of the JCPZ, said this offer honours older residents and recognises their contributions to families and communities, while providing opportunities to reconnect with nature, relax and spend time together.

The JCPZ will also celebrate 67Blankets, on Tuesday, 27 October, with senior citizens, from 09:00.

There will be music under a tree canopy, grocery hamper giveaways and more.

“Bring a picnic basket, a blanket or comfortable folding chair. Organised groups should coordinate their visits with the Zoo in advance” said Mendrew.

Grandchildren will get to enter the Zoo for  R22, on Thursday the 22 October.
