The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned against severe thunderstorms, strong winds and excessive lightning as well as hail, in the eastern and south-eastern parts of the Free State, north-western parts of KwaZulu Natal and the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
As a result, high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the central and northern parts of South Africa, including northern Northern Cape and western North West.
In addition, the Severe Weather and Information Centre (SWAICSA) forecast isolated and scattered showers in the North-Eastern Northern Cape, Free State, Eastern Cape interior, Western and Central KZN, Western, southern and central Mpumalanga and south western Limpopo.
