A tropical low system currently in Mozambique, has brought heavy rains in the Southern coastal areas of that country, especially on the South of Beira.

South African Weather Services, the Regional Specialised Meteorological Centre (RSMC) and La Réunion, suggest these conditions might head to Mozambique’s  Xai-Xai area by Wednesday.

Areas expected to be affected in South Africa, are the lowveld regions of Mpumalanga and Limpopo, as well as northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Windy and rainy weather is expected to follow from tomorrow until Thursday this week.

An advisory from the SAWS indicates a heatwave continues over most parts of the country, including the Eastern parts of the Northern Cape, North West, Free State, central and northern parts of the Eastern Cape until tomorrow.
