The Tulbagh Bulk Water Project, was unveiled on Friday.

The project is made up of a new 1238.4 Mℓ dam, pump station and its associated infrastructure.

Now completed, it will supply water to about 10,000 people in Tulbagh and surrounding areas of the Witzenberg Local Municipality.

Pemmy Majodina, Minister of Water and Sanitation, unveiled and officially handed over the completed Phase 12 of the Tulbagh Bulk Water Supply Project, worth an estimated R48 million, to the Witzenberg Local Municipality. 

The project was largely funded by the Department of Water and Sanitation through its Regional Bulk Infrastructure Grant (RBIG), and the Municipality( R5 million).
