Critical meetings in building on the progress achieved at the COP29 UN Climate Change Conference in Baku last year, are expected to kick off from the 16 to 26 June.

The aim this time, is to drive forward, key issues and prepare decisions for adoption at the upcoming COP30 UN Climate Change Conference in Belém, Brazil, in November of this year. 

The meetings will be held at the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB) in Germany, headquarters of the UN Climate Change (UNFCCC). 

About 5,000 delegates are expected to attend, from member countries and civil society representatives.

Simon Stiell, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary, is expected to set the tone for the meetings, on Monday, 16 June.
