A vervet monkey, was spotted by residents in Florida, Johannesburg.
Several wildlife frequent the area during migration, including jackals, baboons and vervet monkeys.
Chad Mileham, a Director at Disaster Relief Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and also manager of the WhattsApp group on “Vervet Monkeys Info-Gauteng” said the belt including Heldekruin, Roodekrans , Florida and all the way down, has some vervets coming through, and they were also spotted in Northcliff and surrounds.
“While migrating, these animals will go which ever way they can.”
