The Weather Service (SAWS) warned against severe thunderstorms (at Level 1) over most parts of Mpumalanga, except the Lowveld, on Monday.
Morning frost is also expected in most parts of the country, including Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the Free State, Eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape.
Some parts of Durban and the Coastal Regions received about 0.6 mm to 1.7 mm per hour on Saturday evening, while inland areas and the Southern coast received heavier, persistent showers of close to 30 mm.
