The Goodenough Abstraction Works and Ngwadini Dam Construction Site at the Lower uMkhomazi Bulk Water Scheme in eThekwini Municipality are well underway.

A Ministerial delegation made up of Minister Pemmy Majodina and Sello Seitlholo, Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, visited the project on Thursday.
 
Once completed, it will supply water to an estimated 50, 000 households, in the South Coast’s eThekwini and Ugu Districts.

Lower uMkhomazi Bulk Water Supply is worth more than R20 billion with uMngeni-uThukela Water as the implementing agent and is situated in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality (Ward 99) and uMdoni Local Municipality (Ward 18) in KwaZulu-Natal.
