Water supply is now underway in Kamesh, Rosedale, Tiryville and Lapland areas.

This is after interrupted supply followed an electrical outage, which began two weeks ago.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro said its team was able to restart the affected plant, resume water treatment and begin replenishing reservoirs.

Reservoir levels are still low, but water supply has begun.

The water shortage from Elandsjagt also affected Emerald Hill.

Water has started coming through to high-lying Newton Park through to Schauderville.

The City urged residents to continue using water sparingly.
