Yellow Level 2 warnings were issued by the South African Weather Service (SAWS) for today for Limpopo and the Northern areas of Mpumalanga.
Strong damaging winds, heavy rains and excessive hail are expected to cause localised flooding.
The SAWS says low-lying areas will be affected, as well as homes, roads and other structures.
Another Yellow Level 2 alert was issued for KwaZulu-Natal, this time for winds so strong, they could damage objects, and cause disruptions along coastal areas.
This is expected at sea and neighbouring inland areas. The winds could make it difficult to navigate small vessels at sea.
