Johannesburg Water (JW) is planning to install new isolation valves at one of its Hector Norris pump station, on Monday, the 20th January 2025.

JW says this will improve service delivery, because new valves can only be installed once isolation is achieved.

As a result, JW is planning a dummy run to check isolation at the pump station.

Areas expected to have no water, between 9am and 7pm, are Johannesburg CBD, Newton, Selby, Jeppestown, Doonfontein, Forest Hill, Turfontein, Rosettenville, La Rochelle, Turf Club, Kenilworth, Towerby, De Wetshof, Observatory, Bruma, Cyrildene, Bezuidenhout Valley, Bertrams, Lorentzville, Judith’s Paarl, Troyville, Parktown, Victoria, Links field, Glenhazel, Rouxville, Glensan, Dunhill, Abbotsford, Oaklands, Melrose, Cheltondale, Houghton, Waverley, Saxonworld, Hyde Park, Illovo, Parkview, Killarney, Craighall, Hursthill, Crown (Industrial), Fordsburg and Mayfair.

JW said water tankers would be provided during this time.
