About 1,411 people died, as a result of an earthquake, southwest of Afghanistan.
Zabihullah Mujahid, Spokesperson of the Afghan Government, confirmed 2,351 people were injured, as well.
The earthquake, measured at 6, struck on Sunday evening, destroying more than 8,000 homes.
Worse off areas are in the Nurgal District, Chawkay, Wata Pur, Chapa Dar and Manogay.
Rashid Khan, famous cricket player, launched a rescue fund on Tuesday “heartbroken for my people in Kunar after the devastating earthquake. I’ve launched a GoFundMe to support the victims. Every donation can help rebuild lives. Please stand with us. 🙏💙.”
A survivor said “I have nothing left, I built this house with so much struggle and hardship. Now I have no strength, my children are outside with no clothes as a result of the earthquake.”
