Martha Mphawana and Albert Maribeng, drowned, on Sunday, in floodwaters of the Makaepea village in Blouberg, Limpopo.
The ANC in the Peter Mokaba area, confirmed the names of the deceased.
Floods also damaged several roads across the country.
During her opening address at the EXCO Lekgotla, on Thursday, Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, said the January 2025 floods in Limpopo, became an opportunity for recovery after disaster declarations, sparking community demand for greater involvement.
A 10-day weather forecast indicates an 80% chance of more rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by East South Easterly winds (ESE).
