20 people were killed by floods in Parun city, the capital of Nuristan Province, in Afghanistan, on Monday.
About 80 more were injured.
Yousuf Hamad, spokesman of the Taliban Government’s Disaster Management Authority, said search and rescue teams are looking for one hundred (100) missing people.
Authorities also warned that monsoon rains continue in 10 of the country’s 34 provinces, including Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Baghlan, Samangan, and Badakhshan.
