About thirty nine (39) suspects were arrested in and around Mohlakeng and the Randfontein city centre, in the week ending on Sunday.
They were arrested by Gauteng police and the army (SANDF).
Police seized seventeen (17) explosives, 12 blasting cartridges, detonating cord, connector capped fuses, a copper connector fuse and six stock tube assemblies, in Mohlakeng.
They also confiscated materials such as generators, jackhammers, chisels, stampers, phendukas, water pumps, drill bits, spades, hammers, hacksaws and drills, as well as suspected gold-bearing material.
