About 42 structures were engulfed by a fire that swept through Thembalethu, in George, on Friday evening.
70 people lost everything in the fire, confirmed Faith MakaMio Mdaka, Councillor of the area.
Mdaka has requested support including dry food for the victims of the fire.
Food and supplies can be dropped off at the Agri Hall at the showgrounds.
Jackie von Brandis, Mayor of George, was on site on Friday evening , with Eric Mdaka, Browen Johnson, Deputy Mayor and Stamhoof Brendon Torob Adams,MMC Mobility and Safety.
