A Yellow Level 5 warning was issued by the South African Weather Service for Tshwane on Monday.
The warning is against disruptive rain for most parts of Gauteng, including Tshwane.
As a result, the City said it is prepping for localised flooding, Mudslides, rockfalls in low-lying areas, including informal settlements and roads.
The City said motorists should expect disruption to traffic.
Residents are advised to stay indoors if possible, away from metal objects and avoid outdoor activities such as fishing and golf.
To avoid crossing low-lying roads, bridges and swollen streams.
