The couple found murdered at the Kruger National Park, on Friday, were identified as Ernst Marais (71) and Dina Marais (73).
Their bodies were found by other visitors to the Park, after staff realised they did not return to camp, on Thursday.
Reports, indicate the couple entered the park on Sunday, and were last seen at the Pafuri picnic area on Wednesday morning.
Limpopo Police have confirmed that cases of murder and hijacking are now under investigation.
Their vehicle, believed to be a bakkie, is still missing.
