3 suspects were arrested following the murder of 12 people, in Cleveland, East of Johannesburg.
Speaking to media on Wednesday, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, the Gauteng Commissioner of the police, said there were not less than 10 people involved in the shooting.
He also said about four week ago, crime intelligence teams and agencies confiscated 1,000 illegal guns in the area.
He said it is still early to arrest the rest of the other suspects, who were part of the shooters, in a quantum combi.
Mthombeni could also not confirm the number of people injured and in hospital, as a result of Tuesday evening’s shooting.
