A woman was found in possession of suspected stolen copper cable, in Tshwane North.
Metro police in Tshwane said members received a tip-off regarding cable stripping and excavation.
Upon arrival at the scene, they found a female in possession of copper cables.
The suspect initially said she works for a contractor and as a result, was working with cables and copper earth rods.
The City of Tshwane’s energy and electricity business could not confirm her claims.
She was arrested and is expected in Court this week.
