Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), resigned on Monday.
This follows pressure and calls for him to to step down from over 70 members of the Labour Party.
Starmer won a landslide victory in the 2024 general election to replace Rishi Sunak.
He was praised for appointing a large number of women to his Cabinet, including Rachel Reeves, as UK’s first female Chancellor.
Before becoming Prime Minister, Starmer served as the Director of Public Prosecutions and head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) of England and Wales from 2008 to 2013.
