Johannesburg Water cautioned residents of a few streets in Bezuidenhout Valley, not to use water, until test results are conclusive.
Nombuso Shabalala, Spokesperson for Johannesburg Water (JW), said there is no confirmed cantamination as yet.
The alert is a precautionary measure, following the damage of a water pipeline.
Residents of Bezuidenhout Valley are cautioned not to use tap water, following the repair of the pipeline, on 6th Street and 8th Avenue.
“Repairs were completed and teams are flushing the line and taking more samples” said Shabalala.
She also alternative water supply continues to residents in affected streets.
