Motorists are urged to avoid the N3 Northbound at the Buccleuch interchange, as all lanes are currently closed.
This is due to an active crime scene related to the Rolex gang.
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) said law enforcement officials are on site directing traffic, with all vehicles approaching the interchange on N3 North being diverted onto the N1 South at Buccleuch.
JMPD said in an urgent notice, “if approaching the bottleneck, motorists are urged to take the Marlboro Drive off-ramp to exit the motorway before becoming trapped in the traffic jam.
Upon reaching the interchange, follow law enforcement instructions to divert onto the N1 South. From the N1 South, you may exit at Woodmead Drive (R55) or use the Rivonia Road off-ramp to reconnect via local arterial routes”
