A Cut-off low pressure system is developing west of the country, to affect the Western and Northern Cape provinces from Sunday into Monday.
The public and small stock farmers can expect showers and thundershowers, with possible large amounts of small hail and lightning.
SAWS also forecast a significant drop in temperatures over the high-lying areas.
Very rough seas could reach between 4.0 and 4.5 meters, south of Table Bay.
Strong winds and waves (at Level 1) are expected between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas on Saturday into Sunday.
The Weather Service (SAWS) also said high fire danger conditions could persist over the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, on Saturday.
