This is according to Nobuhle Mthembu, Speaker of the Council, who led the the session on Wednesday, the 02nd April 2025, at the Brixton Multipurpose Community Centre

In total, all meetings have attracted 14,367 participants.

She also said in a statement, the (KPI) measuring citizen participation in City events recorded 7,450 participants, nearly doubling the set target of 4,000.

“Performance across departmental KPIs also showed steady improvement in the period from October to December 2024. Of the 19 departmental KPI’s assessed in the second quarter, 12 were achieved, representing a 63.1% success rate—an increase from the 61% recorded in the first quarter. This upward trend underscores the Legislature’s ongoing efforts to enhance oversight and legislative processes.”
