Several events scheduled to start on Friday into this weekend, were cancelled, as soft rains continue in parts of Johannesburg.
The Joburg Ladies Open Round 1 play, in Modderfontein, was suspended due to a flooded course.
The Umgowo Adult Jumping Castle Fun Day Picnic, scheduled for this Saturday 5th April, on the East Rand, was also postponed due to bad weather.
The Benoni Night Market scheduled for Friday, April 5, was also postponed.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said Gauteng will remain cloudy and cool, with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north.
There are also several warnings against severe thunderstorms, that could lead to flooding, in parts of the Northern Cape, western parts of North-West, Free State, the western parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the south-eastern parts of Mpumalanga.
Similarly, dsruptive rain is expected in places over Joe Gqabi district, as well as Emalahleni and Sakhisizwe local municipalities in the Eastern Cape.
SAWS said damaging winds could make navigation at sea tricky, in ports, between Cannon Rocks and Coffee Bay, in the Eastern Cape.
