Protesters shut down the Lower Boksburg Road towards Johannesburg at the Sasol garage in Gauteng, on Friday morning, since 06:10am.
They burnt tyres to block the road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The Tshwane Metro Police Department also cautioned motorists of a Gender-based and femicide march,on Friday, organised by the Gauteng Central College.
The march is expected to gather at Pretorius Street, turn left at Sisulu Street, left onto Francis Baard, left onto Du Toit and right into Madiba Street and straight to the Union Buildings.
