Over 800 stakeholders in agriculture are expected to attend this week’s Agri Investment Indaba (AAII24), on Monday, the 18 – 20 November 2024, in Cape Town.

Now in its 7th year, the African Agri Investment Indaba, hosted by the Western Cape Government, aims to discuss Agri food investment in Africa.

Stakeholders are from a range of sectors – banks, Government, investors, project owners, project developers, commercial farmers, Agri and food processing.

The Indaba will foster private sector investment and facilitate market access to drive the sustainable growth of agriculture in Africa.

Speakers include Dr. Mogale Sebopetsa, Rajesh Behal, Theo De Jager, and Ade Adefeko, who will share their knowledge on how to leverage investments, adopt sustainable practices, and implement technological advancements to transform agriculture across Africa.

Monday’s sessions focus on seeds and nurturing startups.

Tuesday’s expert panels will explore strategies to enhance South Africa’s livestock and fresh produce export potential, focusing on overcoming logistics barriers to boost global trade, investment opportunities, lucrative projects.

The last day’s round will explore the Development Finance Institutions (DFI) Forum, where participants will engage DFIs on support to sustainable projects through strategic investments.
