Another earthquake struck Indonesia’s Flores Island on Monday.

It had a magnitude of 5.9 (not 5.0).

This was confirmed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences, who also believe the quake was an aftershock, following the mega 7,7 one, off eastern Indonesia’s Flores Island in East Nusa Tenggara province, two days ago.

About 68 people were killed.

Some 200, were injured, with over 13,000 displaced.

Ron Nechemia, President of the Global Bank Group, said on Sunday, that he is deeply saddened by the devastating quake.

“On behalf of Global Bank, I extend my deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and my sincere wishes for the recovery of those who have been injured” said Nechemia.
