The Agricultural Research Council
(ARC) in collaboration with Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) will conduct a training workshop on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) on 11-13 December 2024.
The workshop is intended to develop capacity of the trainees to help them address the complex interrelated challenges of food security, development and climate change,
while identifying integrated options that promotes cooperation and benefits, and reduce trade-offs.
Government officials, extension officers, and farmers are expected to attend the workshop.
Through this critically important workshop, trainees will be exposed to global-informed climate smart agriculture and poverty alleviation strategies, skills and theories.
The ARC said the rationale for this workshop is to, amongst others, ensure a grounded understanding of the implication of climate change and opportunities linked with Climate Smart Agriculture for agricultural production.
